Tonight Ronit and I played the Colonial Club Open Mic Night. We played for about a half hour and we rocked. We played a bunch of cover songs and the crowd (all our friends) really enjoyed it. I recorded the show so you can all listen online. It's 33 minutes long, in streaming mp3 format. It should be playable by modem users. If not then let me know.

Some things to note about the show: we played the first song, #41, with Steve, the keyboard player in our band, but you can barely hear him because the piano wasn't miced. If we knew there was going to be a piano there I think we would have considered using it. Playing with Steve was a spur-of-the-moment thing. We didn't even plan on playing that song at all, but it was fun. Too bad the recording didn't get Steve. Also for that first song my guitar was very out of tune because I lent it to some of the guys who went before us and I forgot to tune it afterwards. Another problem is that the sound mix is really screwed up. Ronit's vocals are too loud and are clipping, although that may have been unavoidable since it sounded fine live, although in comparison my guitar and vocals were too low. I guess that's the price you pay when you try and do your own sound. I know all about that from this other musicial endeavor.

Thanks so much to everyone who came out to see us and cheered really loud, and thanks to everyone at Colonial, the coolest eating club on the street, for letting us play.

I've also made a CD out of the show. Let me know if you'd like a copy. Here's the source info for it.

EDIT: Changed "Me and Ronit" "Ronit and I." Sorry Mom. ;-)
